Evening Choir

Our Evening Choir is led by Musical Director Julia Bishop. Julia is an experienced musician and conductor and is Head of Music at Wolverhampton Girls’ High School.
imageOur evening choristers  wear cassocks and surplices during services and sing our more challenging, yet stunningly beautiful traditional Choral music.
They create that ‘heavenly’ sound that helps us to pray and know the presence of God at Evensong. Sunday 6:30pm.

Our evening choir rehearses on Friday evenings and performs during evensong every Sunday in term time. Evening choristers enjoy annual tours to sing at some of the most prominent cathedrals in the country, including York Minster, Salisbury, Southwell and, in 2017, Worcester.

Choir members (younger and older) grow in confidence and lasting friendships are made. The Evening choir has no auditions and is open to anyone (8+) who would like to develop their singing ability to the next level. The choristers are welcome to take part in the free singing tuition on Monday after school led by Carly Birchell. These further develop musical ability and lead to the young people gaining ABRSM grades – these can be used as UCAS points when applying for university.

If you would like to join our Evening choir just come along to church any Friday evening during term times at 6.30 (if you are under 18)
...and 7.30 (if you are over 18). Or Speak to Julia after Evensong Sunday evening.

We would love to see you.
